Herd tested CAE negative the last 4 years, latest whole herd test April 2010

I started my Nigerian Dwarf herd in November of 2005 and am very excited to be raising these wonderful little goats!

I had pygmy goats for over five years prior to the Nigerians and once I learned about the Nigerian Dwarfs, I decided to switch breeds and have been very happy.  I love their personality, the color possibilities, and the ability to milk these goats, while they are still a manageable size.

Currently I have 13 Does and 4 bucks.  I was blessed with 11 kids in the 2007 kidding season, 22 kids in 2008, 13 kids in 2009, and I plan to breed 11 does in 2010.

I milk a few select does and my husband and I drink the milk and love it!  I hope to be able to sell the raw milk later this year.  My husband made me a wonderful milk room and it even has hot water!  All of my does have been milked at one point and they have to give a minimum of 1 quart per day to stay in the herd.  I breed for dairy quality and good conformation.

My husband and I got married in early 2008 and have been having fun working on the barn and property getting it set up how we want it.  In November of 2009 we were blessed by the birth of our daughter and I have been having fun being a stay at home farm mom.

If you have any questions about my goats or goats in general, feel free to send me an email!
