Runs Runs are a way to allow free range to chickens while keeping them contained. As a rule of thumb, allow 10 square feet per standard size bird (some breeds may need more or less). These runs hook up to my coops and have a large access door opposite coop side. The run should be moved before damage to grass has been done, witch will vary from flock to flock . 4' x 4' x 2' T - $80 (2 chickens) 4' x 6' x 2' T - $100 (3 chickens) 4' x 8' x 2' T - $120 (4 chickens)

Our Flock We have 2 Light Brahma hens, 1 Buff Orpington hen, 6 Rhode Island Red hens, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte, 3 Jersey Giant hens, 1 Jersey Giant rooster, and 1 Buff Orpington rooster and a new batch of chicks to take some of the layers place as they are getting old. We get about 50 eggs a week from the ten layers we have and are able to sell two or three dozen a week to pay the chicken feed bill. The chickens have about 1/2 acre of free range and we are lucky as we have lost none to wild animals.
