Chicken Coops

This started as a way to give our own flock a place to hang out and now I am happy to build coops for your little or large flocks

About my products:
  • Coops are made of  unfinished western red cedar and exterior plywood.
  • Delivery is generally not included however may be arranged for a fee.
  • Coops can be used alone or in tandem with a run.  If you have a place for the chickens to free range in a predator free zone where they will not disturb plants or be a bother then a run is not necessary.  However, if you want to be sure of your chickens safety and or your prized tomatoes appearance then you may want to consider a run.

Runs

Runs are a way to allow free range to chickens while keeping them contained.  As a rule of thumb, allow 10 square feet per standard size bird (some breeds may need more or less).  These runs hook up to my coops and have a large access door opposite coop side.  The run should be moved before damage to grass has been done, witch will vary from flock to flock .

4' x 6' x 2' T - $100 (3 chickens)

  • Welded wire

  • Other coverings can be used with additional charge

Custom Designs

I am happy to discuss custom coops and will build on site if needed for large coops.

Our Flock

We have 2 Light Brahma hens, 1 Buff Orpington hen, 6 Rhode Island Red hens, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte, 3 Jersey Giant hens, 1 Jersey Giant rooster, and 1 Buff Orpington rooster and a new batch of chicks to take some of the layers place as they are getting old.

We get about 50 eggs a week from the ten layers we have and are able to sell two or three dozen a week to pay the chicken feed bill.

The chickens have about 1/2 acre of free range and we are lucky as we have lost none to wild animals.
